2012 Registration Open
Rugby Oregon has set 2012 participation fees at $200 for new players and/or players who need new socks and shorts. Those who do not need shorts or socks, dues will be $180. I believe this is a $10 increase over last season, the $10 represents an additional accident insurance benefit USA Rugby added this year.
Parent Coordinator Positions Available
It takes a lot of help to put on a home rugby game. (I have helped with almost every volunteer task and I can personally say that every job has been fun. – Joe)
Since we all want to watch our own daughters & sons, volunteer jobs are primarily pre-game and post-game activities. Parent signing up as coordinators for these positions will receive an $80 reduction in their child’s rugby participation fee.
We need coordinators for the following positions:
Social Coordinator : This is our biggest need as we need to provide a meal after each game for both teams. (boys, girls, varsity, JV). The team reimburses parents for the expense of food, drink & paper ware, with a submitted receipt. Social Coordinators need to contact parents from within the team and ensure that each game is covered. We need a Social Coordinator for the girls, and another for the boys.
Field Coordinator: FC will be responsible for setting up and removing field ropes on the sideline and put up goal post pads for EVERY HOME GAME (boys and girls). Rope/stakes will be provided and kept by FC, goal pads will be kept by coaches. This may involve some delegating depending on which teams are playing home and/or away games.
Can Drive Coordinator: We plan to hold a major can drive trough Corvallis/Albany in early April. CDC will help organize a drop off/ sorting site in each town and organizing transportation to the OBRC recycling center in Eugene (on may be opening in south Salem before April).
